The Business Development Representative acts as the liaison between xScion’s Marketing and Sales teams. The role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.
To be successful in this role, the BDR should have previous experience in the technology professional services market developing leads from cold outbound prospecting activities, marketing campaigns and meeting lead generation and conversion quotas. The BDR will use their communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until successfully converting leads to qualified sales opportunities. Ultimately, the BDR will boost sales and contribute to xScion’s long-term business growth.
As a Business Development Representative, You Will:
Researching and developing prospect lists for marketing campaigns (webinars, whitepapers, events)
Generating interest and attendance/downloads for marketing campaigns
Launching nurture and following up campaigns and activities to convert prospects to opportunities
Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
Contacting potential clients through cold calls, emails and other social media such as LinkedIn
Interacting with leads via LinkedIn, phone, event and other creative campaigns (with marketing’s directive)
Setting up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Client Partners
Presenting xScion’s solutions and capabilities to potential clients
Conducting discovery to identify client needs and suggest appropriate solutions and services
Building trusting relationships with prospects and clients
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Reporting (weekly/monthly/quarterly) lead generation and conversion results
Updating lead scoring and prospect interaction in HubSpot to increase conversions and increase efficiencies
Staying up-to-date with new solutions/services and pricing
Tracking and analyzing lead generation conversions
Providing feedback from prospect interactions in order to better drive the messaging and creation of marketing campaigns
To Be Successful, You Need:
Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role
Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
Track record of achieving lead generation and conversion quotas
Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation software (e.g. HubSpot, other sales and marketing tools)
Familiarity with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Understanding of marketing and sales performance metrics
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to deliver engaging presentations
BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
