Overview:

As a Lead Automation Engineer/Architect, you will drive a transition from manual testing utilizing analysts to a fully automated testing approach utilizing a Continuous Delivery system.

 

As a Lead Automation Engineer/Architect, You Will:

  • Research and recommend technologies that will integrate into our systems
  • Define processes and procedures
  • Retrain staff for the updated approach
  • Integrate approach into an Agile SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) process
  • Develop and use metrics to ensure successful transition
  • Develop and maintain metrics to ongoing adherence to quality standards
  • Provide the knowledge and expertise needed to make this transition successful
  • Design and develop testing strategy framework for the various product lines for the Identifi Platform
  • Oversee the development of test cases, analyses and provides recommendations for speed to market and process efficiencies
  • Works with IT, business partners and customers to certify the product quality before it goes to production
  • Establish a release process and consistent code progression across the product lines from the lower testing environments. Define and maintain a refresh cadence for environments
  • Provide leadership for establishing a test knowledge base, including the establishment and maintenance of a common test repository and support compliance and audit needs
  • Define test methods, tools and procedures to ensure efficient, effective and comprehensive test coverage with an emphasis on automation
  • Direct and coordinate the implementation of test automation, provide guidance on the selection of the most effective test design techniques for all applications

 

To Be Successful, You Need:

  • An in-depth understanding of testing and experience in architecting testing strategies for enterprise data warehouses, business intelligence and clinical decision support software
  • Experience with the following tools:
    • SAS Analytics
    • Big Data Hadoop Implementations using MapR or Cloudera
    • SQL Server
  • To build on this knowledge and to fully understand the Identifi Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Clinical Decision Support platforms
  • To be able to move between “hands on” implementation and high-level management tasks. The architect must be ready to demonstrate their approach in a small subset of teams before widely deploying the solution
  • Minimum ten (10) years of proven management experience in IT roles of increasing responsibility
  • Design and develop testing strategy framework for the various product lines for the Identifi Platform
  • Experience overseeing the development of test cases, analyses and provides recommendations for speed to market and process efficiencies
  • the ability to work with IT, business partners and customers to certify the product quality before it goes to production
  • Experience establishing a release process and consistent code progression across the product lines from the lower testing environments; Defining and maintaining a refresh cadence for environments
  • The ability to provide leadership for establishing a test knowledge base, including the establishment and maintenance of a common test repository and support compliance and audit needs
