Duties: We are seeking an experienced program management professional to lead our team at the Department of Transportation in Washington, DC, as well as other federal agencies, as business dictates.  The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, proven experience managing projects within the Federal government space, and has supervised dynamic teams.

  • Direct the efforts of a cross-functional team supporting the delivery of cybersecurity tasks on-site at Federal government location
  • Provide management support of a portfolio of Federal projects
  • Direct all program management activities, to include the development of program plans, schedules, risk registers, and program metrics
  • Engage our clients on a continuing basis to ensure their needs are met or exceeded, understanding their vision, collaborating problem-solving issues, and communicating our progress transparently
  • Deliver high-quality products to clients; requires hands-on effort in the development of work products and implementation of technical solutions
  • Maintain year over year portfolio revenue and growth
  • Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
  • Accountable for contract actions, renewals, and the development of proposals
  • Lead market assessment, develop new opportunities, and coordinate win efforts throughout the Federal portfolio
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business growth goals
  • Reports to C-level Executive

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Knowledgeable in the Information Technology programs and fluent in Federal IT vernacular
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs in the Federal space
  • Adaptable problem-solver who can manage changing client demands
  • Supervisory experience with multiple disciplinary teams
  • Proven experience developing business in the Federal space, including responding to RFIs and RFPs
  • Positive attitude and a natural communicator and influencer, using such strengths is often difficult and complex situations
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to coach, lead, motivate, and manage others at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Security certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSLC, etc.)
  • Established relationships with industry partners and Government contracting customers

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or at least fifteen years of equivalent work experience

Work Environment: This job operates in a well-lit and temperature-controlled office environment. In this role there will be the use of standard office equipment such as phones, computers, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

An employee in this role must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time and will occasionally need to move about inside the office. Location: Downtown Washington, DC.  Telework is available as defined by contract requirements and company policy.
