Your Contribution to Our Mission:

  • Perform design, analysis and testing of stabilized gimbal and pointing mirror subassemblies. These may include:
  • Gimbal and Mirror Assembly designs, to include structures, motor selection, servoamplifier specifications, etc.
  • Use of Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) / Inertial Navigation Systems (INS)
  • Use of embedded processors/DSPs to implement servo control algorithms
  • Support and analyze system specifications, define system architecture, and develop component/subsystem requirements.
  • Develop and implement servo control algorithms for various gimbal modes to include scanning, Geo-stabilized pointing, and others
  • Participate with other engineering staff in mechanical designs including: sizing and selection of hardware for gimbals, stabilized/steering mirrors or similar devices.
  • Develop prototype hardware for demonstration and testing.
  • Develop, simulate, code, test, and integrate new servo control algorithms.


To Land This Job, You Need:

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent
  • Prior experience implementing precision stabilization and feedback mechanisms
  • Experience with modeling and simulation software, or creation of simulation models using tools such as Matlab and Simulink.
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience in an engineering role post degree.
