MTEQ is a lead sensor system integrator focused on providing advanced sensor technology to address C4ISR mission requirements. MTEQ provides a broad range of technical support across two divisions. Our Technical Services Division provides research, development, analysis and field service support to advance the architecting and fielding of advanced sensor systems for ISR and Force Protection missions. Our System Division provide the engineering design, development of complete and integrated solutions from hardware to software for sensors, systems and command and control architecture.

MTEQ is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong system administration, PC technician and problem solving skills to serve as a key member of our IT team. Such an individual will apprentice under MTEQ’s Service Desk Manager and be afforded the opportunity to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Server+, Security+).  Primary responsibilities include administering to Linux and Windows based servers/domains, LAN/WAN IP networks, digital & VoIP telephony systems, data backups, Windows clients.  Candidates must be able to:

·          Communicate effectively

·          Maintain/enforce computer/network usage policies

·          Administer to users/devices/systems/networks at MTEQ’s two (2) corporate offices (Lorton, VA & Kilmarnock, VA)

·          Be flexible to work after hours, weekends and handle a shifting schedule as needs arise

·          Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in an employee/customer environment


·          One (1) to three (3) years’ experience as a Service Desk Analyst and/or PC Technician

·          Proficiency administering Windows Clients

·          Proficiency in a variety of PC Technician tasks

·          Proficiency administering LAN/WAN IP networks

·          Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

·          Excellent written and verbal communications skills

·          Must be willing to follow and refine formal IT processes & procedures

·          Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance, therefore U.S. Citizenship is required


·          Proficiency administering Windows or Linux servers

·          Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, batch)

·          Proficiency administering Virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Linux-KVM)

·          Proficiency administering digital and VoIP telephony systems

·          A.S. or B.S. in a computer, software, or IT related field

·          Certifications (1 or more)

·          CompTIA A+

·          CompTIA Network+

·          CompTIA Server+

·          CompTIA Security+

·          MCSE

·          RHCE

·          SharePoint 2010 or Higher

·          VoIP

·          Avaya IP Office

·          Samba Domain Controller & Active Directory

·          Google Apps (aka G Suite)

·          Web Development


Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
