MTEQ is a lead sensor system integrator focused on providing advanced sensor technology to address C4ISR mission requirements. MTEQ provides a broad range of technical support across two divisions. Our Technical Services Division provides research, development, analysis and field service support to advance the architecting and fielding of advanced sensor systems for ISR and Force Protection missions. Our System Division provides the engineering design, development of complete and integrated solutions from hardware to software for sensors, systems and command and control architecture.

MTEQ  is seeking a Program Manager with experience in DoD system development to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Lorton, VA Office.


  • Serve as the Program Manager for one or more system and technology development projects; MTEQ develops electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) and other (e.g., radar, acoustic) sensor systems, as well as electronics modules and systems that interface to sensors and users of sensor/data products 
  • Manage the assigned contracts and projects to performance and other requirements, schedule, and budgetary requirements
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams of engineers and other technical staff, and interface with the customer and other third parties via Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
  • Develop Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and execute to plans to ensure a matrixed workforce successfully fulfills project requirements
  • For some programs, Earned Value Management (EVM) may be required
  • Prepare weekly and monthly CDRLs
  • Develop technical and cost proposals in response to RFPs
  • Support company sales, profit, and growth objectives


  • BS (Engineering degree preferred) 
  • Minimum of five years’ experience managing DoD or Federal Agency funded programs
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams (including MTEQ and subcontractor personnel) within an IPT process
  • Prior experience with R&D, system development, and/or rapid prototyping contracts
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience developing Bases of Estimates (BOE’s) and estimating levels of effort and cost for developmental services and products
  • Ability to react quickly to ramp up and fulfill rapid prototyping requirements
  • Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project proficiency


  • Prior experience with EO/IR and other sensor technologies and systems
  • PMP Certificate
  • Experience with electronics development and fabrication
  • Engineering or DoD technology background

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain Security clearance preferred; active clearance preferred
