Description

MTEQ is a lead sensor system integrator focused on providing advanced sensor technology to address C4ISR mission requirements. MTEQ provides a broad range of technical support across two divisions. Our Technical Services Division provides research, development, analysis and field service support to advance the architecting and fielding of advanced sensor systems for ISR and Force Protection missions. Our System Division provide the engineering design, development of complete and integrated solutions from hardware to software for sensors, systems and command and control architecture.

 

MTEQ is seeking a Laboratory and Operations Analyst with extensive knowledge and strong communication skills to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Fort Belvoir, VA Office.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Division Level Laboratory and Maintenance Support

  • Coordinate, oversee and/or manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing functional support as part of building maintenance and janitorial work

  • Oversee the development of efficient repair schedules; review repair cost estimates

  • Review work orders to ensure that assignments are completed accurately and within prescribed timeframe

  • Responsible for assigned building inspections and reports

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customer and attend customer meetings

  • Coordinate and manage identified customer requirements efficiently and without direction

  • Obtain and review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects

  • Ability to work directly with procurement team to ensure that materials and/or services are obtained and confirm the lifecycle of the project is tracked and completed

  • Control and monitor inventory

  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve productivity

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Division Level Admin Support

  • Provide Support to the S&T Division (S&TD) Leadership with day-to-day operations

    • Handle scheduling conflicts

    • Support as requested with presentations and other materials

    • Coordinate meeting requests and provide necessary materials as needed

    • Submit visitor requests and JPAS request through proper portals

    • Travel arrangements both CONUS and OCONUS

  • Provide Correspondence support as requested

    • Reply to emails and route email and other mail as required

    • Handle mailing of document/packages and sorting of mail

  • S&T Division Work Orders – Computer, Phone, Facilities

    • Must keep documentation for all work orders – Work order requests/tracker

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of S&TD social events, such as company picnics and holiday parties

 

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word

  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and ability to use work order system

  • Capable of climbing on ladders or other machinery as required

  • Able to stand, bend, lift and carry 50lbs

  • Knowledge of power tools common to the trade

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance is required

 

PRIMARY LOCATION:  Fort Belvoir, VA

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

In an 8-hour day, must be able to frequently bend, squat, kneel, lift, twist, climb, reach, stand, and walk; use hands for repetitive pushing, pulling, and single grasp motion; frequently lift and carry objects, independently, weighing up to 50 pounds and to move objects, using a 2-man lift, in excess of 100 pounds.  Ability to travel by government- or company-vehicle to various work locations or other destinations as needed
