Communications Specialist - Writer/Editor

Overview: IntelliWare is award-winning national security company with an immediate opening for a Communications Specialist-Writer/Editor to support a federal law enforcement client’s executive staff. The candidate should possess strong competencies in all facets of written and verbal communication; display strong initiative and possess critical thinking skills to support a fast-paced law enforcement environment; be able to craft, write and edit official and executive level briefings, talking points, summaries and other official documents. The position requires a strong knowledge and aptitude in grammar, writing style, syntax, and writing composition, as well as being versed in the AP Writing Style Guide, and experience editing documents to meet style requirements. The candidate should be confident in providing writing guidance and recommendations to other team members, as well as be able to demonstrate the ability to craft, plan and execute communications plans, outreach programs, and advocacy initiatives, and have strong skills in planning, scheduling, and coordinating of time, resources and staff needed for special events or large group meetings. The candidate should also have strong note-taking skills to capture fast-moving meeting notes for dissemination of summaries to client organization.
Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Candidate must have the ability to successfully complete a US gov’t CI Polygraph examination if successful USIC CI Poly has not been recorded within the past five years.
