Overview:  IntelliWare is an award-winning national security company with a need for experienced analysts to support a federal law enforcement client’s Open Source Intelligence Program. The analyst will provide open source monitoring and analysis support services in order to facilitate the production of timely, accurate, and relevant open source intelligence products and services. There are two shifts (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am). This position is exempt.

Clearance: Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility.


  • Provides open source analysis, advice, assistance, and support to overseas personnel, domestic investigative offices, protection details, and external consumers. Products include researching, compiling, correlating, and interpreting data pertinent to assessments of threats, suspicious and hostile activities, and significant incidents.

  • Utilize numerous datasets, specialized tools, and advanced assessment and analytic techniques to identify and analyze individuals and groups that may pose threat(s).

  • Review incoming open source intelligence and referrals from the monitoring teams to produce analytical products for consumers which assess the accuracy, credibility, validity and relevance of the information and sources.

  • Prepare and present written and oral briefings to special agents, Program management, leadership, and law enforcement, defense, and intelligence partners on significant and complex investigative and protective intelligence issues.

  • Build and maintain relationships and collaborative networks across the law enforcement, security, and intelligence communities to share information, best practices, and lessons learned.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience conducting open source intelligence and targeting. Additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree.

  • Knowledge of Internet-based research, including Boolean logic, search engine and database resources, and Internet sources, such as social media, social networking tools, data exploitation, and commercial and industry based databases.

  • Knowledge of production of intelligence assessments in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) requirements.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Watch list experience is preferred.

  • Knowledge of federal regulations governing the collection and use of open source materials to ensure that the methods and practices employed complies with regulatory requirements is preferred.

  • Experience with the following tools is preferred: Dataminr, Babel Street, Open IO.

  • Experience with attributable networks (i.e. Silo) is preferred.

  • Experience with protective intelligence investigations is preferred.

Location:  Arlington, VA

Travel:  CONUS and OCONUS travel up to 10%.
