Project Manager,Search Operations

MediaCom Search is looking for a search operations expert with over 3 years of experience managing and overseeing the smooth operation of search marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and process management skills and at least 1-5 years’ experience in paid search marketing. MediaCom is experiencing significant growth and searching for a candidate that is looking to stay long-term.  

Search Operations Management:

Process Management

  • Define search ad operations workflow for clients from campaign definition through forecasting, trafficking, billing, reporting and  auditing for MediaCom search clients in conjunction with broader ad operations teams within MediaCom
  • Adheres to all account security guidelines and helps administer security protocols
  • Develop approaches to structure search accounts for maximum accessibility and accountability for search teams
  • Act as a SME to help our technical teams troubleshoot and solve issues.  Provide solutions to clients while working internally with Ad Ops, Digital Investment & Analytics teams.
  • Serve as primary liaison with third party tech partners and vendors to maximize search solutions and manage best practices.


Project Management

  • Help project manage a portfolio of accounts and campaigns to effectively track and analyze search campaigns across a variety of search marketing advertisers
  • Create and present search performance reporting and provide analysis both internally and externally to designated clients.


Search Tech Operations & Trafficking

  • Apply knowledge of search operations workflow (in particular Marin, Dart and Kenshoo) to determine integration options and preferences
  • Establish and oversee search operations best practices, policies, workflow and process for MediaCom Search through effective liaising with industry players like Google and Marin to help shape and validate decision making
  • Knowledgeable and abreast of the latest updates regarding tools and User Interfaces (AdWords, Marin, AdCenter, AdGooroo, etc.)
  • Leverage knowledge of tracking and analytics technologies
  • Manage tracking tag creation and implementation and oversee trafficking and quality assurance on active campaigns
  • Help search team traffic, uploads, and QAs keywords in Marin, Dart, Kenshoo and other technology platforms based on client need.
  • Make recommendations to search team about effective kpi’s and other performance improvements. 
  • 2-5 years of work experience in technical development or interactive marketing


Search Analytics & Forecasting

  • Effectively report on campaign results, perform data analysis, and analyze optimization to reach maximum campaign revenue
  • Collaborate with teams to help manage campaigns and identify business and market opportunities that can be enhanced through better search
  • Help search marketing teams test and analyze paid search marketing campaigns for efficacy and growth
  • Ensure accurate search forecasting and quality control for client and content partner campaigns.
  • Performs diagnostic checks on client search campaigns throughout the year
  • Generate and assemble internal reports, including frontend data and backend accountability.
  • Ability to work with major web analytics and SEO/SEM program management solutions and ability to leverage the data to drive goals and enhance ROI
  • Knowledge of testing and conversion optimization solutions including landing page optimization and A/B and multivariate tests




  • Participates in weekly search team meetings and offers ideas and suggestions to improve and evolve search operations
  • Notifies manager of any issues
  • Responds to internal emails in timely manner
  • Copies Search Directors on all emails
  • Uses appropriate business etiquette when communicating verbal and written correspondence


  • Ensures all search reports are quality in Marin other technologies
  • Ensures quality for monthly and quarterly reports & formats for analysis
  • Thorough understanding of reporting capabilities in Marin, Adwords, Adcenter & Omniture
  • Oversee’s dimensions in Marin


  • Inputs into budget tracking document and reviews with search director
  • Alerts director of under/overspend, traffic abnormalities and opportunities

Tools and Technology:

  • Demonstrates high level proficiency of AdGooRoo, comScore, Google Insights, and keyword generation tools
  • Expert in engine search technology
  • Demonstrates proficiency in analytics


  • Completes Adwords certification, Marin certification, GMS University certification & Zinc training
  • Seeks out new learning and training opportunities

New Business:

  • Provides new business support to Search Directors by developing initial keyword lists, producing engine estimates, as well as other support as requested
