Are you ready to explore a new career?  Are you an individual who takes pride in delivering exceptional work? We are currently seeking a wastewater treatment operator with a minimum of three years of experience to operate and maintain a water treatment plant in North Kansas City, MO.  

Job Expectations:

Under the mentorship and supervision of others:

  • Wastewater treatment plant operation
  • System maintenance and light repairs
  • Collection of water samples 
  • System monitoring
  • On-site testing
  • Record keeping
  • Chemical handling
  • Working with engineers to monitor and improve water treatment
  • Other tasks as assigned 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must have a good to advanced understanding of operation concepts 
  • Must be proficient in MS Office  
  • Must be organized, reliable, able to learn new technical concepts, and have good oral communication skills
  • The position will require you to work both as part of a team and independently at times
  • Must be willing to work in a rigorous field setting where duties will include some lifting (<50 lbs.), working outside year-round and in inclement weather, long periods of standing, walking and ability to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
