Our Sr. Louis office currently has an opportunity available for a self-motivated engineer to join us supporting our Municipal Water and Wastewater Engineering Group.  This is a great opportunity to work in a growth-oriented professional consulting office.  The successful candidate will work with and be mentored by strong, nationally recognized, senior technical staff.

Job Expectations:

In this role you will work closely with project managers and other team members to execute work involving conventional types of civil engineering principals and other related activities for infrastructure projects.  Specific duties may include the following: 

  • Prepare infiltration/inflow analyses and pipeline condition assessments
  • Perform flow monitoring analyses and hydraulic modeling
  • Assist with design of water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations
  • Assist with design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Assist with environmental studies, permitting, alternatives analyses, and other technical deliverables
  • Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications as part of engineering services during construction
  • Assist with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders for construction projects
  • Conduct field work as necessary for various projects
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (drafters, designers, and other engineers)

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • BS Degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) required
  • MS degree in Environmental Engineering desirable
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date
  • Experience and/or related coursework in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance required
  • Previous related internship and/or work experience desirable
  • Candidate must have strong verbal/written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work well both independently and in team environment
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) preferred
