Brown and Caldwell, a nationwide environmental engineering and construction firm, has an exciting opportunity for two Building Information Modeling (BIM) Interns. BIM is the process of developing a 3D model with embedded engineering data and calculations, and BC is looking to develop a library with complex computational BIM components. You will partner with our BIM experts to build out our computational 3D component library for water and wastewater treatment plant design projects. These positions can be located in our Denver, CO or Boise, ID office.

Job Expectations:

  • Build individual computational/parametric BIM components in Revit
  • Create template for typical Revit projects
  • Create environmental engineering unit process computational BIM models as dynamic collections of individual components

Desired Skills and Requirements:

  • College student pursuing a degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural), Architecture, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Revit highly desired
  • Coding or Graphical Programming experience a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously is essential, as is the willingness to accomplish individual assignments
  • Ability to interact successfully with highly technical subject matter experts and professional staff at all levels
  • Quick learner and adept problem solver
  • Excellent communicator
  • Solid interpersonal skills, motivated self-starter and team player
