Description

Brown and Caldwell is looking for a dynamic person to lead and grow our Design Technology group, part of our Design Services Enterprise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Design Technology leadership including BIM, design analysis, project collaboration for the company over all of the Design Services production enterprise. In this position, you will be expected to provide vision, direction, and leadership of our design technology in support of engineering technical services project delivery.  In addition, this position will provide vision and direction to the company management team and recommendation of the roadmap for design technology.

You will work with our National Discipline Leaders and their staff in providing top notch production leadership, technical support and documentation. In addition, you will promote training and development opportunities to a multidiscipline design staff. This position requires you to work collaboratively with our company’s core team in advancing the company’s design technology direction.

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • BS/MS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or equivalent
  • 20+ years of experience working in design technology across multiple disciplines; 10+ years leading a team.
  • High level of communication, leadership and strong writing skills.
  • Ability to drive company-wide initiatives in technology, specifically in BIM and design tools.
  • Strong management skills and experience managing multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
  • Desire to empower others to innovate through coaching, process development, and automation.
  • Experience in the water/wastewater industry desired.
  • Solid understanding of project delivery and construction.
  • Highly resourceful problem solver and quick learner.
  • Ability to travel
  • Experience using Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Revit Structure, AutoCAD, Navisworks and other industry standard platforms.
  • Working knowledge of design industry workflows, production cycles and priorities.
  • Experience with multiple BIM/CAD roles: training and support mentoring, working with project team members and strategic planning.
