Are you ready for your next challenge? Our Atlanta, GA office is currently seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer with proven strength in engineering planning, design, and project management as it pertains to municipal and industrial projects.

Job Expectations:

In this role, you will utilize your consulting expertise to manage and execute work on projects and to help ensure successful client relationships.  In addition, you will also participate in and/or lead the pursuit of business development opportunities and you will work closely with strong technical experts and other leaders in the Mid-South Area and East Region.

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with federal, state, and local agencies and understand requirements and areas of opportunity for our clients within the regulatory framework.
  • Design water resources projects related to stormwater quality and quantity management, green infrastructure, stream bank stabilization and habitat restoration.
  • Oversee projects that include modeling and critically analyzing issues to support site-specific and watershed-based approaches for our clients.
  • Provide water resources/stormwater design services for infrastructure projects and support master planning efforts in water resources, including stormwater master plans.
  • Lead client and internal meetings to advance project work.
  • Participate in work groups and organizations to benefit the company’s knowledge of issues and to understand client needs.
  • Delegate project-specific activities and supervise work of other staff members.
  • Assist with and lead business development pursuits
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers and designers.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • BS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field required; MS degree preferred
  • PE in Georgia, or ability to obtain Georgia licensing through reciprocity within 6 months is required
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in the water resources field
  • Ability to manage projects and tasks with an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to use GIS, AutoCAD and Civil 3D, spreadsheets, word processing
  • Experience with modeling programs such as: SWMM, MikeUrban, InfoWorks, etc.
  • Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentations experience
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually essential
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
