Our Seattle, Tacoma or Olympia, Washington offices are currently seeking a Pipeline and Utility Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure group.  The individual will participate in client service teams pursuing, managing and executing utility infrastructure projects and master plans for the water industry (water, wastewater, and stormwater). The selected candidate will work closely with strong technical experts and will help mentor junior level staff.

Job Expectations:

  • Manage and execute on conveyance systems and infrastructure designs, and water, wastewater, and stormwater master plans
  • Develop and prepare design drawings, specifications, calculations, plans, models and other technical deliverables for master planning, conveyance and infrastructure related projects
  • Lead project team in planning and/or designing a major engineering project and coordinate special planning, economic, and engineering studies
  • Provide consultation in stormwater (traditional and green) and wastewater/water master planning, modeling and design
  • Pilot project execution and assessment
  • Read and summarize as well as create technical reports/plans
  • Prepare and make presentations to clients, colleagues, and the public
  • Direct the work of drafters and designers, coordinate with other disciplines
  • Delegate and oversee the work of subordinate technical staff and engineers
  • Assist with and lead related business development pursuits

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • B.S. degree in related engineering field (Civil, Environmental etc.) required
  • M.S. degree in related engineering field with a focus on wastewater and water master planning and conveyance preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of years of experience, with demonstrated progressively increasing responsibility required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Washington required (or ability to obtain one through reciprocity within 6 months)
  • Strong project engineer skills required; project management experience preferred
  • Desire to conduct marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and interviews
  • GIS and/or CAD experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation required
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and the ability to multi-task essential
