JOB SUMMARY

The essential job function is to support the development and validation of analytical methods for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products and to provide testing support for the formulation development and clinical supplies release process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

With supervision and direction the analyst is required to:

  • Provide support for the development and validation of pharmaceutical analytical methods for potency, dissolution, impurities/degradation products, residual solvents…using appropriate laboratory instrumentation e.g. HPLC, UHPLC, LC-MS, Dissolution Apparatus, GC…
  • Provide support for the formulation development activities, including testing of development samples, clinical samples, and stability samples.

Also the individual:

  • Attends work on a regular and predictable basis.
  • ‚ÄčCompletes assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.
  • Upholds Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code.
  • Works in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers and the public.
  • Works effectively under deadlines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

None

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

This position is an entry level laboratory position.  As such, a BS or MS degree in Chemistry or equivalent degree in physical sciences is expected.

  • Must possess the ability to take initiative to complete assignments and job responsibilities with some supervision.
