Director, Strategic Accounts – (Irvine, CA or San Diego, CA)

Job Summary:

The successful candidate must have the ability to align strategic initiatives and have a corporate strategy between NextGen and the assigned clients.  This role is responsible for driving strategic alignment to fulfill the growth and revenue goals for within assigned accounts and targets. The position will work with all NextGen internal departments to align needs from the clients and prospect and will help to drive the overall strategy within the US. 

Responsible for developing and implementing a sales program for maximum occupancy and revenue levels. A key member of the management team, setting the example for high standards and upholding the mission, philosophy and values. Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas in territory for Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Patient Centered Services (PCS) by working with the current ambulatory sales force.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage qualified Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Patient Centered Service (PCS) propects through the defined sales cycle through to closure and turnover to implementation with appropriate Sales Executive or Account Executive.
  • Conduct lead generation activities to successfully build the pipeline for net new prospective customers.
  • Manage Sales Assessments with qualified prospects and direct appropriate team members and resources as required.  
  • Enter information gleaned via sales activities into Sales Force thus building territory intelligence.
  • Act as the subject matter expert regarding our RCM and PCS offerings and continually stimulate the sales force to seek out opportunities.
  • Conduct analysis in order to manage performance levels of sales against market developments and corporate objectives.
  • Integrating and aligning sales plans with available processes, IT systems, talent and other areas in order to increase the capability and success of sales force.
  • Understand how complex organizations make decisions
  • Understand how complex organizations make decision including driving deals through complicated sales processes. 
  • Capability to navigate a complicated sales process, that may be 18 months (or greater). 
  • Assist in driving internal changes and collaboration on new solutions that drive value for the company and our clients.   
  • Collaborates with sales and operations leadership to ensure proper deal scope and margin targets.
  • Designs and implements an effective sales plan to navigate the decision-making process on complicated deals.
  • Create and executes sales presentations for large accounts concentrating on achieving prospect's business objectives, that includes senior leadership from NextGen and prospects. 
  • Collaborates with marketing to develop effective campaigns to attract new prospects that may consider Revenue Cycle Management. 
  • Understands complicated healthcare solutions including: Revenue Cycle Management, Population Health, Data Analytics, EMR, Practice Management, Mobile technology, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4 plus years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management, Electronic Health Records solutions sales or similar experience.
  • 10 plus years of experience in healthcare, technology and sales.
  • Strong knowledge of ambulatory market place.
  • Experience with sales training courses such as Miller Heimann.
  • Proficient is Salesforce.com
  • Familiar with Strategic selling initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office -- Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
