Software Support Specialist – (Horsham, PA)

Job Summary:

Work on a variety of platforms assisting customers troubleshoot problems, reviewing contributions to our open source libraries, and building features. Detect potential concerns in the programming languages and frameworks of our products and present resolutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, assess and troubleshot software platforms, multi-tier web applications, etc.
  • Develop and validate user and system requirements, write design documents, test plans and test results.
  • Assess architecture and current hardware limitations and recommending solutions.
  • Oversee the quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution.
  • Develop an awareness of programming and design alternatives.
  • Take an active role in cross-departmental projects when needed.
  • Liaise with company's clients for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies as needed. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 plus years of experience in software engineering.
  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of open source systems software, protocols, components, and standards, including [e.g. PHP, Python, Apache, Linux, MySQL].
  • Competent and proficient understanding of platforms.
  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Adept at conducting research into software-related issues and products.
