Orion is hiring Cleared Security Electrical Technicians for work within the US and Internationally!
Demonstrable skills and training in basic electronic system design and repair.
Manufacturer’s technician certification or training in any of the following systems is preferred: Access controls (Software House/i-Star), to include readers, controls and locking hardware equipment and Door Control Equipment (AES Corporation), CCTV systems (Panasonic and Bosch cameras, fixed and PTZ, interior and exterior; Panasonic and Pelco monitors, Panasonic Matrix controller systems, and American Dynamics Digital Video Recorders); Perimeter surveillance, Interior surveillance, Alarm annunciation, including Door and window contacts, Motion Sensors, Panic/Duress switches; Low voltage power supply (AES Door Control or Camera Power Supply Units; Altronix Power Supplies), and distribution, Structured Cabling, Protected distribution systems. Federal Signal Selectone Announcing system, including speakers, bullhorns, Command Units, Amplifiers, and Routers.
Experience in Conduit and wireway installation, including EMT and Rigid conduit, from ¾” up to 2”. Familiarity with a variety of infrastructure support systems, including surface mounts using one and two hole straps, and hanging cable racks using Unit-strut, all-thread, dropped/insert in anchors) on a variety of wall and ceiling surface types.
Must possess a working knowledge of applicable government standards and guidelines for electronic security systems, anti-terrorism/force protection, facilities security design and access control.
Associates degree and 2-5 years of experience preferred.
Must be very professional and possess excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work as a member of a team of technicians in the installation of Government technical security systems, to include start up, installation, testing and signoff.
Must be US citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
