We are currently seeking an electrician with a Journeyman license in Maryland, Virginia, and/or DC.
Performs a variety of complex technical functions related to the support of electrical engineering activities such as constructing, integrating, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration
Troubleshoot electrical or electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models and/or specialized test equipment.
Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems.
Diagnose and correct equipment and system malfunctions which fail to respond to standard corrective measures.
Develop and evaluate test procedures, determine circuit requirements, and develop diagnostics and applications.
Install and repair conduit systems including rough and finish work to local and NEC requirements. Generate rough sketches and engineering drawings; and special techniques for control and implementation of electrical or electro-mechanical systems.
Write and interpret specifications used in designing, maintaining and calibrating electrical or electro-mechanical systems, chassis or components.
Prepare reports, charts and graphs for scientific or engineering personnel to use in making decisions on design or experiment development.
VA, DC, or MD issued Journeyman’s License or higher preferred
Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
5+ years working in the commercial industry as an Electrician
Willing to respond to emergency calls at any time
Must be able to read and interpret blue prints
Must experience with and be able to bend and install up to 4” conduit
Government issued clearance a plus (not required)
OSHA 30 Hour a plus (not required)
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
Demonstrable ability to bend rigid, IMC, and PVC.
Demonstrable ability to install branch circuits
Demonstrable ability to install dry type transformers.
Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot various kinds of circuits
Should have a minimum of five years of hands on field experience
Must be willing to work a variety of projects and preform non electrical duties
Minimum Physical Job Requirements:
Able lift 60 pounds or more
Ability to work efficiently in confined space environments.
Able to climb ladders, scaffolding and work at heights
Able to frequently bend, sit, and stand for long periods of time
Able to crawl into small and/or confined spaces
Good communication skills and follow through required
