Graphic Designer – Men’s and Youth Inline Licensed Team Sports

Fanatics is seeking creative, passionate and driven individuals to spearhead our League initiatives. We seek designers with a strong understanding of brand identity, color, graphic design, and basic production art techniques. Designers will partner with other in-house design teams on Corporate Branding and design direction.

Candidates must have strong design skills, including a robust understanding of layout, type, color and composition needed to create professional designs and material that enhance apparel collections through visual storytelling. This person needs to be results-oriented team player with a passion for sports and service.


Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for creating apparel graphics for our Men’s and Youth Inline Licensed Sports categories
  • Development and maintenance of presentation decks and collection boards
  • Creation of non-calendared Special Art Request graphic concepts
  • Local trend shopping, reference and research and development for multiple apparel embellishment techniques, including: screen print, heat transfers and appliques, embroidery, etc.
  • Application of Intermediate to advanced-level typography skills for font research, development and implementation in apparel graphics
  • Seek information regarding trends in sports apparel and sports / pop culture, consumer insights, new business opportunities, and competitors in the market in order to influence design aesthetic and strategy through the development of mood / trend / ideation boards
  • Demonstrate intermediate-level knowledge of color theory, concept development and brand guidelines and adherence
  • Confidently share fresh perspectives that will enhance creativity and promote new ideas through written and verbal communications to internal and external clients
  • Highly knowledgeable of U.S.-based Professional sports leagues and franchises

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Graphic Design position
  • (REQUIRED) Must provide a strong professional portfolio showcasing a wide range of design skills/abilities
  • Intermediate level knowledge using Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Advanced skills in typography
  • Strong knowledge of color theory and composition
  • Entry-Level Production Art knowledge
  • Intermediate level use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity working within project management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; should be able to deliver ideas and decisions in a professional manner
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to work effectively and cross-functionally across all teams and departments
  • Passion for great product and design.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and adapt to changes and competing agendas
  • Can manage projects individually or as a part of a team.
  • Results driven and solutions focused

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or a related field
  • Intermediate level knowledge using Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Advanced skills in typography and illustration
  • Beginner- Intermediate Level Presentation / Publication Design
  • Traditional and digital illustration knowledge highly preferred
  • Highly motivated self-starter
