Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, the Sr. Cloud/DevOps Engineer will develop cloud infrastructure to ensure applications and supporting infrastructure follow best systems engineering practices. Working closely with various departments throughout the firm, the Sr. Cloud/DevOps Engineer will conceptualize, construct and implement solutions and processes to respond in real-time to the requests and demands of the firm and its employees. The ideal candidate strongly advocates a serverless compute and demonstrates passion for high-level security and continuous innovation.
The Sr. Cloud/DevOps Engineering will be responsible for designing security and governance policies related to cloud infrastructure. In addition to automating cloud infrastructure services, he/she will identify cutting-edge products and services that facilitate constant growth. Eager to learn and constantly embracing evolving technology, the Sr. Cloud/DevOps Engineer will raise the technical IQ of the Systems group.
Skills and Qualifications:
5-10 years’ relevant experience in computer science, programming or cloud technologies. Fintech or high-tech industry experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials in computer science or technical discipline is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in NGINX, SQL, GUNICORN, UNIT.
Experience with Go (Golang), Git, Rancher, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Kafka, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Snowflak, Redis, Python, Windows, VMware, Docker, Istio and Powershell.
Deep knowledge of web services/APIs and experience with integrating disparate systems.
Thorough understanding of distributed systems and scalability.
Familiar with RBAC, IAM and general security and networking, micro services architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Team-oriented and also able to thrive independently coupled with demonstrated integrity and strong problem solving skills.
