Retail Stockroom Coordinator

 

The West Point Association of Graduates is dedicated to furthering the ideals and promoting the welfare of the United States Military Academy (USMA), and to supporting and serving its graduates.  USMA is renowned as one of the world's preeminent leader development institutions.  The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400 and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking a Retail Stockroom Coordinator.  This position reports directly to the Retail Manager.

The Retail Stockroom Coordinator will work 40 hours per week in a continuous, fast-paced environment.  Seasonally, weekend or weekday overtime may be required.  He or she will have two major areas of responsibility:  first, managing the reception of incoming products, their recording and maintenance, and packing and shipment of outgoing products, which have been purchased via the WPAOG Gift Shop website, or via telephonic or similar order process; second, recommending actions for restocking needs, stockroom organization and cleanliness, and reunion packing and preparation.  The Retail Stockroom Coordinator must, on a daily basis, move large boxes of products, place items on the shelves in the stockroom or auxiliary stockroom.  This position is technically and physically demanding, requiring packing, lifting and shipment of boxes of up to 50 pounds.  At times, offsite work may be required in support of class reunions or similar sales or delivery opportunities.

The incumbent should have retail experience.  Personal attributes must include excellent customer service and oral and written communication skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.  He or she must be able to rapidly become an expert in operating the Celerant point of sale and inventory management system.  Excellent organization and time management skills are required.
