The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is dedicated to furthering the ideals and promoting the welfare of the United States Military Academy (USMA), and to supporting and serving its graduates. USMA is renowned as one of the world's preeminent leader development institutions.  The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400 and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

 

The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking a Contract Prospect Researcher to assist with campaign preparation activities as part of fundraising efforts for the United States Military Academy (USMA). This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Donor Strategy and Analytics.

 

As a Contract Prospect Researcher, this individual will work at WPAOG or remotely to assist with wealth rating validation and research on potential major and leadership gift prospects. Duties will include researching prospects in lists provided by the Donor Strategy and Analytics team to confirm whether wealth screening ratings are correct or need to be adjusted, updating capacity estimates and corresponding notes in Blackbaud CRM, and writing short profiles for all prospects rated at $100K and above located nationally as well as those rated $50K and above in the New York City tristate and metro DC areas. The Contract Prospect Researcher will use the internet as well as additional tools such as Evertrue, iWave, etc. to find financial and biographical information on individuals and estimate giving capacity per formulas and training provided by the team at WPAOG.

Applicant must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as databases, able to do basic intenet research, and have great attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
