SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for managing the day to day activities of the regional marketing team and delivering on the long term marketing strategy for the company.  With input from firm leadership and Corporate Marketing establishes marketing policies and procedures.  Creates marketing budget and reports to leadership on marketing activities.  Offers strategic input to marketing plan and coordinates marketing plan development.  Manages client-contact program; representing the firm to clients, peer organizations and business associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Represent the firm to clients, peer organizations, and business associates

  2. Manages marketing team including staff development, mentorship, training, and hiring.

  3. Accountable for quality control of marketing and communications activities for the Region.

  4. Works closely with office leadership and business development team to develop and implement overall marketing, communications and sales strategy for the targeted pursuits and markets.

  5. Develops strategy for project-specific pursuits in concert with the business development team and the Operations team.A large portion of this responsibility centers around managing the efforts related to qualification packages, technical proposals and project based presentations.

  6. Oversees local implementation of the Rosendin brand messaging and visual identity in alignment with corporate standards and guidelines.

  7. Supervises (and participates in as necessary) the development of all marketing materials.

  8. Supervises the ongoing development and refinement of marketing content that tells compelling stories that resonate with region’s target audiences.

  9. Manages workload of marketing team, setting priorities and schedules based on the needs of office and studio leadership, the business development team and in support of corporate initiatives.

  10. Collaborates with office leadership and corporate marketing to develop and execute specific communications initiatives to raise visibility of the firm and position key staff as design and knowledge leaders.

  11. Serves as a communication link between Corporate Marketing, Operations and corporate resources, sharing marketing activities and efficacy of efforts.

  12. Develops systems to extract, categorize and retrieve information related to consultants, personnel, projects, prior proposals, boilerplate, visuals, mailing lists, and promotional items.

  13. Analyzes costs/benefits for marketing techniques and continuously improves effectiveness of activities.

  14. Conducts marketing and communications-related workshops/training for Operations and technical staff.

  15. Develops, evaluates and reports progress of annual regional marketing and communications plan, including specific goals, strategies, action plans, and schedules.

  16. Collaborates with leadership to develop annual marketing budget, monitors resources to ensure consistency with budget and plan.

  17. Represents firm to clients, business associates and industry-related organizations, as needed.

  18. Communicates corporate marketing & communications strategies with marketing team.

  19. Accountable for the development and maintenance of accurate and complete office-generated marketing data in the firm marketing information systems, including the BD/Marketing SharePoint site.

  20. Interfaces with people both inside and outside the firm as necessary to fulfill job requirements.

  21. Directs and assists in research of markets and clients, sharing relevant information with other offices and practices.

  22. Leads implementation of corporate marketing, communications and social media initiatives.

  23. Work with thought leaders, division business development managers, BD and marketing coordinators/proposal specialists, event coordinators, and others to funnel information through appropriate channels

  24. Work with Corporate Marketing to manage public relations firm for external media placements such as interviews, published articles, press release drops, etc.

  25. Promote information throughout social media channels which currently include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, (as it applies to corporate messaging)

  26. Work with Corporate Marketing to support website content by facilitating press releases, case studies, blog articles, event updates, etc.

  27. Promote key messages through specialized video projects

  28. Manage all activities of video production with external production company

  29. Manage brands on promotional materials and promotional storefront

  30. Assist Corporate Marketing with collateral materials development, advertising programs, corporate identity implementations, and special events

  31. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required
  • Minimum of ten years of work experience in the A/E/C industry required
  • Recommended: CPSM certification (or pursuit of certification)
  • Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals
  • Highly competent in marketing theory and practice
  • Understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and delivery methods
  • Demonstrates poise and a leadership style that will instill confidence and trust among internal and external leadership
  • Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verball
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
  • Ability to successfully mentor staff in a manner that supports continuous learning, team collaboration and career development
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and attention to details skills
  • Excellent time management skills, passion for details and ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator required
  • Proficient in Oracle and/or a CRM platform is preferred

TRAVEL:

  • Travel requirement for tradeshows, industry events, corporate meetings, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium

  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
