Position Summary:
LA Voice is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to provide high level administrative support for the Executive Director as well as other senior staff including the Director of Organizing, Civic Engagement Director, and Development and Operations Director.
Essential Functions (to include, but not limited to):
  • Managing the calendar for the Executive Director and other senior team members
  • Providing general administrative support to the Executive team, including arranging travel, reconciling expenses, and managing incoming and outgoing communications
  • Supporting day-to-day administrative needs of LA Voice in coordination with the Operations Manager and Operations Assistant
  • Support Executive Director with research, drafting planning documents, and other consequential projects
Required Qualifications:
  • Track record of providing successful administrative support at the executive level
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time and multiple projects
  • Ability to interact collaboratively and clearly with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Works effectively independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience successfully creating and/or modifying processes to improve efficiency
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality, 100% follow-through
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and/or Google G-Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with any of the following databases: Giftworks, Salsa Engage, Wordpress, ActionNetwork, PDI, Dropbox
  • Basic IT troubleshooting skills
  • English fluency required, second language a plus, including but not limited to Spanish, Tagalog, Mandarin, or Vietnamese.
  • Experience with community organizing and/or social justice organizations.
  • A bachelor’s degree combined with some form of ongoing education--a Master’s Degree, writing courses, e.g.
  • Salary is competitive dependent on experience, in a range between $40,000-$60,000.
  • Generous benefits package including matching 401(k), 15 days paid vacation increasing to 20 after 3 years of service (plus holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Years), and full medical, dental, and vision insurance.
