Fund Development Associate
Faith in Florida (FIF) is seeking a Fund Development Associate. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience working with low-income, immigrant, communities of color, and/or returning citizens communities, effective time management skills, including demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. He or she will be responsible in writing grants and submitting grant reports, developing grassroots fundraising strategies, and initiating relationships with prospective funders.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Write grant proposals, reports, concept papers and other documents related to grants as well as manage the process of developing these documents with the staff team.
  • Coordinate and engage others on staff who are responsible for particular funder relationships.
  • Identify foundations whose funding priorities align with FIF’s work.
  • Track and manage all grant opportunities, documents and deadlines in Salesforce.
  • Track, manage, and retain individual donors
  • Produce targeted lists for funder communications and mailings.
  • Communicate regularly with Executive Director (ED) to ensure that proposal and report deadlines are met. Collaborate with ED on project management of reports and proposals.
  • Work closely with the ED and Director of Operations (DO) to maintain grant budgets and with all Faith in Florida Staff on fiscal management of grants, allocations, finance reports, etc.
We are seeking candidates who excel as team-players, are results-oriented, and have strong writing skills. You should have 
  • Excellent written communication, research, and organizational skills.
  • Cultural competence to work in a multicultural, multi-faith environment.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work well under pressure and handle several projects at once.
  • Experience in fundraising both from foundations as well as individual giving
  • Experience in social justice advocacy, and/or fund development work.
