Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager is accountable for the development and full optimization of marketing programs to support annual and long term company goals.  He/she functions as both a program and tactical execution resource working with internal customers to support strategic alliances and peer programs. Works closely with sales leadership across geographies to ensure alignment with customer facing programs.  Assists with program development in overall marketing strategic plan and annual operating budget.

 The Marketing Manager:

  • Identifies current and emerging marketing opportunities
  • Develops repeatable customer experience programs and tactics to support marketing
  • Creates strong messaging and delivers on program excellence
  • Works with sales managers to develop selling solutions
  • Communicates with all internal customers and stakeholders to accomplish tasks
  • Executes on promotional and messaging content that evangelizes the Omnicell Brand
  • Creation and on-going reporting of performance metrics for programs in alignment with business growth plans
  • With a focus on market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and portfolio – is responsible for establishing and monitoring pricing and reimbursement across customers segments

Works closely with all internal customers ensuring programs, project and deliverables meet the current and / or emerging needs of our customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for transitioning the marketing message from a corporate-focused product line orientation to an outward-focused solution appropriate for end-user customers and sales teams
  • Drives marketing strategy, reimbursement, channel management, bundling and other promotional activities
  • Participates in the annual strategic and operating plan process representing the target market segment
  • Ensures the emerging and current markets’ needs are identified and well understood.  As much as possible supports assumptions and claims with meaningful data
  • Works to extend the life cycle and applicability of existing products. Focuses primarily on the creation of new solution sets, marketing content, campaigns and materials to meet specific needs of current and/or potential new customers to drive growth
  • Ensures the ongoing collection of marketing and customer intelligence through regular internal exchange forums, ongoing feedback from Marketing Intelligence and customer feedback
  • Creates content for optimized sales support materials for all segments
  • Supports sales teams in the development of sales solutions appropriate for specific customers 
  • Ensures that content and materials are universally usable and tailorable and support the Omnicell brand 
  • Ensures ongoing availability and accessibility to Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) who can share their knowledge with all stakeholders as required
  • Enables strategic selling through portfolio positioning, and prescriptive sales guidance. Creation and on-going reporting of performance metrics for programs
  • Activates and updates potential social channels, developing and implementing content strategies, and analysis of efforts and value gained
  • Demonstrates initiative to Drive Results, Develop Others and Develop Self
  • Responsible for customer acquisition and retention in associated segments
  • With a focus on market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and portfolio – is responsible for establishing and monitoring pricing and reimbursement across customers segments
  • Supports the identification of products and opportunities for Business Development to consider for acquisition or partnership.  These may be unique to market segments
  • Support the development and management of PR including media needs and relationships, partnerships with advisors, and agency management
  • Develop KOL and customer references to strategically market Omnicell solutions and brand


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Marketing skillset resulting in transformational sales performance
  • Able to provide subject matter expertise in complex situations
  • Strong understanding of healthcare customer workflows and information needs to deliver marketing programs that meet or exceed revenue and profit goals
  • Works well with product management, product development, sales and customers to understand and appropriately respond to market and business needs
  • Ability to influence and gain acceptance from members of cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be accountable for results
  • Passion for advancing the care of patients and experience of healthcare professionals
  • Desire to work for the overall success of the company and willingness to go beyond– highly motivated
  • Strong communications and teamwork skills essential for delivering results
  • Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with peers
  • Proficiency on personal computers specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BS/BA degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • 5 years of marketing experience and
  • Prior experience with marketing in the healthcare sector and/or med tech/software (SaaS) space

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing or Business Desirable

Work Conditions:

  • Office Environment
  • 25-40% travel
