Senior Manager, Finance MA

In the role of Sr. Finance Manager for Medication Adherence business unit of Omnicell, this position will be reporting to the VP Finance - GAMA and will be a key contributor in supporting planning, forecasting, consolidation and analysis of this global business within Omnicell. The position will act as a key finance partner to Medication Adherence General Manager, providing critical support for key business activities. The position will have very close interface with Business operations, sales, marketing, manufacturing, strategy and other areas for financial support. The position will also have responsibility for managing significant internal process re-engineering and system enhancement projects. This position will also be responsible for management, mentoring and career development of 2 team member.     


  • Own Medication Adherence financial consolidation, cadence and FP&A calendar working in close co-ordination with GAMA FP&A and Corporate FP&A team. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reports from SAP & various financial systems.
  • Own weekly, monthly, quarterly backlog, booking, pipeline and revenue forecasts and reporting for business.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Business Finance, and Corporate FP&A organizations to provide guidance, review and analysis of backlog, bookings and revenue for the business and to ensure compliance with revenue recognition rules and proper revenue recognition treatment.
  • Lead full Global P&L and long term financial plans. Interface with business teams for financial impact analysis for different products and strategies.
  • Provide guidance on financial models, Go-to-market strategies and pricing review over the product life cycle.
  • Put in place appropriate procedures, tools and metrics for MA, including but not limited to managing deep dive analysis of each expense item within the business units.
  • Manage monthly revenue accounting close efforts, including cut-off procedures and preparation / review of auditable product and support revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations.
  • Support preparation and review of key presentations for MA, Patient Engagement Solutions, GAMA and business teams - both regular and ad-hoc
  • Ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and recommending efficiency and effectiveness improvements. Work with IT to prioritize system enhancements and development projects related to business financial consolidation requirements.
  • Provide detailed analysis of staffing cost including hours worked and resource planning
  • Provide regular, insightful analysis and commentary on the trading performance of Operations, identify trends, advise company and recommend actions based on sound analysis
  • Support Business Planning, forecasting and modelling of overall performance and acquisition evaluation.
  • Lead QBR (Quarterly business reviews) for finance, support pricing, contract management and accounting and revenue recognition issues for the business
  • Work with business and team to improve financial reporting and KPI reporting
  • Perform special projects as needed.
  • Support M&A and integration activities as needed

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and the application of financial planning and analysis in global setting
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast paced environment with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Healthcare, hospital and Pharmacy industry practices
  • Some understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and private medical insurance market
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple business and finance teams and effectively communicate in all directions
  • A strong drive for excellence with an established practice of eliciting functional and cross functional collaboration to achieve excellence/results.
  • Excellent follow-through and meticulous eye for detail.
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills.
  • Experience with process and policy development, deployment and post deployment review.
  • Some understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and medical insurance re-imbursement practices

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in global financial planning and analysis
  • Exposure to complex organizations with multiple divisions and/or matrix structured organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Finance
  • 7+ years’ Public company FP&A experience
  • 5+ years’ of experience with SAP
  • 10 +years of progressive experience in global finance organization
  • Understanding of Healthcare, Hospital and/or Pharmacy markets and industry
