Reliability Engineer III


Reliability Engineer III


As a Reliability Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open, collaborative peer environment.


You will be responsible for Reliability Engineering on various new product development projects as well as failure investigations and issue resolutions n existing products. You should have a good understanding of Reliability statistics/Reliability tests and/or solid understanding of industrial/pharmacy automation to influence design for reliability to:

  • Identify and validate product risks and work with design teams to mitigate them
  • Define verification methods (test, analysis, demonstration) and test coverage to assure product reliability
  • Provide hands-on experimental design and execution
  • Perform reliability prediction for products under development
  • Experienced in supporting failure investigation teams, working fault tree analyses, root cause corrective action, etc.
  • Experience with electrical stress testing, environmental stress testing, fatigue testing, vibration and shock testing
  • Working knowledge of tools and processes related to system configuration management from specifications development, traceability, version control, defect tracking and field feedback
  • Experience in system level design, requirements and safety risk assessments at all levels of product development
  • Some travel required. Varies based on the project and the phase of the project


Required Knowledge and Skill:

  • Strong data analysis skills experience with reliability engineering methodologies such as ALT, HALT, HASS, FMEA, Fault tree, etc.
  • Excellent oral, written, sketch, and presentation communications skills


 Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in reliability engineering


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with regulatory requirements and the approval process: FCC, UL, CE, RoHS, ISO, etc.
  • Prior experience with:
    • GMP pharmaceutical machine designs
    • robotics
