Manager, Territory Operations

The Manager, Territory Operations (TOM) is responsible for leading, managing, and directing territory implementation activities for Omnicell.  The TOM must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing people and complex healthcare software implementations. A successful background in hospital IT implementations, preferable clinical systems/software in the acute care market.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting the strategic direction for Omnicell division field operations team
  • Territory revenue management, efficiently and effectively forecasting in SAP with minimal
  • revenue losses
  • Provide territory leadership, mentoring and coaching employees. Providing them with the
  • knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA) needed to be a successful project implementation team
  • Management and oversight of the following areas: project management, implementation
  • practices, process/workflow consulting and training
  • Empower team and delegate responsibilities as appropriate for that individual’s role and ability
  • Forging and maintaining strong relationships with division counterparts in Sales, Service and
  • Collaboration with other territory managers and system technology manager to ensure
  • process standardization as it relates to Implementation Consultant (IC), Interface Analyst (IA), Project Deployment Manager (PdM), Implementation Manager (IM), and Field Engineer (FE) responsibilities
  • Focus on future territory strategy as it relates to revenue goals, personnel and organizational
  • Two-three quarter future forecasting and preparation
  • Assist in developing and executing effective practices, tools and standards for implementations
  • Establishes strong relationships at all levels within clients and prospective customers
  • Serve as escalation point to the PdM; assist Project Deployment Manager (PdM)  in revenue risk mitigation
  • Manage time and resources effectively to meet company objectives
  • RFP review, input and operational sales presentations
  • ADP/Timesheet approvals and overtime tracking
  • Expense reporting and approvals
  • Recruits, hires and develops a high performance region
  • Maintain strong industry and product knowledge
  • Participate in company strategic initiatives and special projects, as needed

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communicator, articulate, and persuasive to key people both within and outside of the organization.
  • In-depth of knowledge and experience in a wide range of functional departments – using this knowledge in order to bring their resources to bear in the resolution of account issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of previous experience in complex project management in Acute Care Hospitals, DOD Medical Facilities and VA Medical Centers
  • 2+ years of experience managing people in a remote setting
  • Must live in the Pacific or Mountain Time zone

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of previous experience in complex project management in Acute Care Hospitals, DOD Medical Facilities and VA Medical Centers; which should include projects associated with the following areas: Ancillary Pharmacy, Operating Room Core and Suites, Anesthesia, Central Sterile Supply, and Materials Management.
  • MBA
  • 5+ years of experience as a people manager
  • PMP certification

Work Conditions:

  • Field Based
  • 50% Travel Required
  • Management of a remote team
  • Pass background check, drug screen, and clean motor vehicle report
