Marketing Communications Manager

The Marketing Communications Manager is a key member of the Company’s marketing organization, driving marketing communications programs to build visibility and understanding of the value Omnicell brings to our healthcare partners.  This manager will work closely with product marketing teams and serve as a liaison with sales and customers.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ­ability to digest complex problems, identify key issues, discover creative solutions and determine an approach for success.  Success in this position demands a results orientation and ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize projects.  Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required, as well as strong presentation skills in persuading a wide variety of audiences. 



  • Develop and direct high impact go-to-market activities and promotions to achieve planned business objectives and growth. 
  • Help drive the development of product and solution-level messages to support marketing communications content creation for collateral, customer success stories, white papers, website, and other materials.
  • Effectively communicate Omnicell messaging to customers (internal and external), journalists, and other market influencers. 
  • Develop innovative sales tools and programs that equip the sales force to increase existing customer penetration and target new account opportunities and competitive conversions. 
  • Manage the services of, and act as liaison between, the company and external agencies, such as PR, copywriting, graphic design, and print production vendors, to ensure timely flow of projects and to ensure that all graphic standards are met.
  • Evaluate production processes to minimize costs. 
  • Help to implement efficient workflow processes within communications department, and manage sales collateral system and marketing communications graphic assets.
  • Plan and execute assigned Omnicell sponsored trade show exhibits, road shows and other events.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong writing, editing and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship orientation; ability to be thought leader and influencer, both internally and externally.
  • Experience in trade show and event management – including establishing event goals/success metrics, handling logistics, conducting pre-show organizational meetings, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and directing creative professionals (writers, graphic designers, event support staff, etc.
  • Ability to lead and bond teams as well and flexible to take on different roles to make teams work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment under tight deadlines with multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Must be able to manage competing internal client demands, and to accept constructive criticism and feedback.
  • Initiative, adaptability and attention to detail.
  • Quick learner of systems, processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to command the attention and respect of senior level leaders.
  • Professional demeanor with strong ethical standards and ability to adapt to change.
  • Availability to travel as needed. 


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing communications
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+  years’ experience in marketing communications with an emphasis in healthcare technology
  • Masters degree in a business-related discipline.


Work Conditions:

Travel up to 40%

Irregular Work hours due to multiple time zones and prep for trade shows
