Description

Senior Manager of Global Tax

Omnicell, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Manager of Global Tax to join our Corporate Tax team. This position will be based out of our Mountain View, CA office and reports directly to the Sr. Director of Corporate Tax.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced and high volume, work environment. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong tax background and will not only possess the technical skills, knowledge, and experience required but, will also possess a positive attitude, confidence and the ability to function well within a team environment. This person must have exceptional resource management and prioritization skills and be able to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. We need someone who is hands-on, dependable, and committed. Someone who is results orientated and can execute organizational goals with the utmost urgency and commitment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing preparation and review worldwide GAAP tax provisions (foreign, federal, and state) per ASC 740, including footnote preparation and disclosure, book-to-tax differences, deferred tie-out, taxes payable, tax account roll-forwards, valuation allowances, tax rates, return-to-provision adjustments, and tax journal entries, FIN 48 tax reserves and related disclosures
  • Lead and coordinate U.S. income tax compliance outsourced to a 3rd party tax provider including corporate income tax returns, R&D studies, Sec. 199 studies, OECD report, Master File, CBC reporting
  • Responsible for all aspects of US tax compliance including tax payments, extensions, return-to-provision analysis, compliance checklists, monitoring worldwide tax compliance, and ensuring all tax accounts in the financial statements have been reconciled and accurately stated
  • Assist with tax aspects of M&A, and with integration and tax restructuring initiatives as required.
  • Perform tax research and prepare technical tax memos
  • Resolve and direct any customer related transaction tax issues
  • Participate in worldwide tax audits
  • Work cross-functionally with and support corporate Accounting, Finance, Legal, HR and other internal business partners on tax related matters
  • Coordinate with external service providers and auditors
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive US Federal and state income and transaction tax knowledge
  • Familiarity with foreign income tax regimes
  • Superior problem-solving skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 + years tax experience in a combination of public and private industry
  • 10 years of experience with multinational and multi-state corporations
