Description

Associate Business Analyst, Field Support

The Associate Business Analyst in the Field Support Department conducts data analysis, performs decision support, and creates, maintains, and optimizes systems and tools that support the operation.  The person in this position will mine data to identify and analyze trends and conditions that open opportunities for improvements. Perform ad-hoc queries, data extracts, and data analysis to produce actionable information around key decision making and will also be accountable for managing systems and tools to make data more accessible.

Responsibilities::

  • Perform data analysis on data related to Omnicell and MTS Sales Operations, Field Operations Support and Customer Service. Find hidden trends and relationships in the data.
  • Responsible for delivering insights, findings, and analysis based solution options. Effectively communicate logic, key assumptions and technical processes supporting the analytic solutions.
  • Responsible for maintenance and optimization of tools that support the operations.
  • Collaborate closely with department managers to provide business decision support and analytics to appropriate levels.
  • Act as subject matter expert and advisor on the topic of analytical tools, enterprise data systems and/or analytical methodologies for the department.
  • Build processes and tools to make data more accessible.
  • Identify data source deficiencies among company data and suggests a path to resolve.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and counterparts within business and information technology to formulate ideas for analytics collaboration.
  • Responsible for managing external vendors and collaborate with IT to manage Omnicell systems and tools that collect and store customer service data.
  • As a part of the Field Support staff the Associate Business Analyst must participate in revenue forecast process, order/RMA requests, ad-hoc requests from field personnel.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel Skills (for example: Ability to perform lookups and use pivot tables, use AVERAGE function, merge and center cells, print centered page)
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: Ability to modify default field properties, create a sub-form, add control button, modify query criteria and query totals, use conditional formatting and/or view data relationships)
  • Understanding of SAP system capabilities

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2 years work experience in one or more of the following:
    • Data extraction, data mining, data acquisition, and data profiling.
    • MS Excel and MS Access
    • Analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
    • Diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
    • Performing data analysis and data management activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced level skill in analytic tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, JMP, SAS.
  • Experience with system administration (Salesforce.com, SharePoint, Wikis, and other collaboration tools)
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and data mining techniques such as: logistic and linear regression, segmentation techniques, optimization and time-series forecasting.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt Certification
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
  • Call center SW/systems experience
