Director, International Market & Business Development, IV Solutions

The Director, International Market & Business Development, IV Solutions leads the analysis and evaluation of international markets for IV products, as well as development of the market entry strategy for any attractive market identified in the analysis and evaluation.  The role serves on the IV Leadership Team and reports to the VP & GM for IV Solutions.

Essential functions:

  • Assess economic, regulatory, and clinical factors in international markets that may facilitate (or hinder) IV automation adoption; assess competitive landscape in each region; identify catalysts, enablers or other factors that may be needed to be successful
  • Build & quantify product/solution value proposition through ROI model or other financial metric; validate value proposition through direct customer engagement
  • Build relationships with potential in-region partners to accelerate and/or de-risk market entry of IV products
  • Create goto market strategy & business case for international markets that are attractive for IV products, include all necessary requirements and investments for sustained success
  • Lead and/or participate in strategic sales-related initiatives focused on growing IV international business and developing solutions that meet specific regional market needs; build initial sales pipeline
  • Liaison with US IV leadership team to represent international IV opportunities
  • Located in UK or Germany; likely 50% travel, largely in EMEA and US

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of healthcare market/business development (or related) experience, outside of North America
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, to be able to understand, engage, and partner with Omnicell representatives in various regional markets
  • Strong financial orientation, able to effectively model options and scenarios financially
  • High business acumen and judgement to effectively and efficiently prioritize business opportunities and pursue those with highest potential
  • High degree of creativity, ability to envision business opportunity
  • Action-oriented, pro-active style of working and leadership to drive progress and achieve results
  • Ability to work independently, in remote location; ability to influence matrix organizational structure
  • Fluent in English (required), fluent in multiple languages (preferred)
  • Familiarity and experience with medical device regulations (preferred)
  • Marketing, business development or related degree (required), with MBA (preferred)
