Tax Manager, Global Income Tax Provision


Tax Manager, Global Income Tax Provision

Omnicell’s Tax Team of five tax professionals is looking for a Tax Manager reporting to the Sr. Director of Tax. This position will be responsible for leading quarterly and annual ASC 740 global income tax provision calculations and information gathering processes, and quarterly and annual SEC Income Tax reporting.


  • Assume a lead role with information gathering and preparation of ASC 740 global income tax provision calculations and related disclosures for review by the Sr. Tax Director, the outside tax consultants and the outside auditors

  • Participate in GAAP and Non-GAAP ETR forecasting process

  • Lead quarterly and annual SEC Income Tax reporting

  • Be in charge of inter-company transactions reconciliation by working closely with the accounting team on all transfer pricing related processes

  • Work cross-functionally with and support corporate Accounting, Finance, Legal, HR and other internal business partners on tax and other related matters

  • Assist with tax related M&A, and with integration and tax restructuring initiatives as required

  • Respond to and resolve assigned information and documentation requests received from tax auditors

  • Perform tax research, including potential modeling of proposed legislation and other matters impacting the company

  • Be familiar with SOX 404 compliance and objectives

  • Maintain documentation file to support analyses performed, decisions made and conclusions reached

  • Participate in federal and state tax reporting and compliance with outsource providers. Lead RTP process during and after the tax returns are prepared

  • Remain current in relevant statutory, administrative, and judicial authority and guidance to identify and analyze the impact of such changes on the Company

  • Effectively communicate with external service providers and consultants

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects effectively in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships within the organization

  • Strongly demonstrated decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellently displayed verbal and written communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least four (4) years of applicable tax experience with a Big 4 or a 2nd tier CPA firm focusing on income tax provision or in a tax department of a multi-national publicly traded company in an Income Tax Provision Manager role

  • Experience with international income tax compliance and provisions

  • Experience with technical ASC 740 concepts and calculations, including accounting for uncertain tax positions and ASC 718 Stock Compensation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax or Business

  • Master’s degree in Tax and/or CPA

  • SAP experience
