Senior Card Press Operator - 3rd shift
Omnicell has an exciting opportunity open for a Senior Card Press Operator on our 3rd shift in our St. Petersburg facility.
Ability to run and troubleshoot all Card Presses.
Responsible for the set-up, operation, clean up, and the quality of the product produced.
Printing of multiple color products.
Operating continuous web converting equipment.
Familiarity with unwind and rewind turrets.
Understanding of information and requirements on job ticket for the set up and running of job.
Check printed copy against the approved sample proof for the job.
Inspecting final product to ensure established quality standards are meet.
Understand and support corporate programs such as 5S, ISO, SMED, Preventive Maintenance, and GMP.
Capability to follow all Safety guidelines for manufacturing work area.
Train other employees as needed per management requests.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Working knowledge in the area of Flexographic Printing.
Knowledge in selection of necessary components to run a job. (print cylinders, plates, dies)
Skilled in mixing inks and general knowledge of color theory
Experience handling UV and water based inks
Understanding of management/handling of anilox, print cylinders, dies and knock-outs.
Experience registering plates on press.
Skill in die cutting and die registration.
Working knowledge in Quick Change Overs
Excellent work ethic and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with peers and team members.
Ability to effectively interface and communicate with multiple constituents, including management, and fellow coworkers.
Ability to work under limited supervision and guidance as well as multi-task, organize, and prioritize job responsibilities.
Retentive to processes and procedures and ability to accept feedback and guidance from supervisor/leadership teams.
Capable of working with limited supervision.

High School Diploma/ or equivalent GED
Minimum of 5+ years working experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 5+ years demonstrated work experience with flexographic printing equipment.
Minimum 5+ years of working experience on multi-colored mechanical/servo color UV continuous web flexographic printing equipment. Preferred experience with auto-register systems.
Must have working experience with the laminating and gluing of substrates to heavy coated and uncoated board.
Must be able to work 3rd shift - Sunday thru Thursday from 10 pm to 6 am.
Stand, sit, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Able to lift 60 pounds.
Able to lift 25 pounds – 35 pounds repetitively.
Move rolls of Plastic/Board/Foil/Liner/Label Stock – 400 pounds – 1000 pounds (rolling material on their diameter).
Move skids weighing up to 2,500 pounds with the use of mechanical and or powered rolling stock. (pallet jacks).
Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out – tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
