Description

 

Accounting Manager

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance, including the development of budgets, management financial metrics and reporting, cash-flow forecasting and reporting, cash management techniques, cost accounting and financial information systems;
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company;
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline;
  • Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets;
  • Be an advisor, from the financial perspective, on any contracts into which the Company may enter;
  • Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals;
  • Serve as internal member of the Supervisory Board appointed by the Company according to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, as subsequently amended and supplemented, and, accordingly, implement, supervise, update, monitor, analyze and manage the relevant organizational, management and control model (Sox compliant)
  • Oversee all finance and accounting functions of the Company to ensure the effective operations;
  • Assist with the management/reporting of rest-of-world bookings and backlog;
  • Oversee the Statutory financials of the 3 Italian entities: Aesynt Srl, Aruba Srl, HR srl.
  • Oversee the financial affairs of the Slovenian branch of the Company.
  • Cash Management and money transfers within approved limits set by corporate team.
  • Lead the monthly reporting process in order to deliver to the US team the statutory data for consolidation.
  • Support of the other functional managers for technical financial advices.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

  • Fully conversant with Italian and accounting rules and legal frameworks.
  • Fluent in English and familiar with operating in an international accounting environment.
  • Master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
  • Should have experience in partnering with an executive team,
  • Have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Deals well with ambiguity
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Operate within a matrix management structure
  • Highly motivated
  • Solid team skills (team player)
  • PC skills with strong Word, Excel, Power Point, and Internet capabilities. 
  • SAP or other ERP system

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a SME or divisions of large companies
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance and the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations

Working Conditions: 

  • Environment – Office based
  • Travel required – as hoc trips to the US as required.
