Senior SAS Developer


Description

Senior SAS Developer

Ateb, An Omnicell Company, has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior SAS Developer. The Senior Statistician & SAS Programmer contributes to campaign design, database and datamart development (SAS), statistical modeling of campaign data associated with Pharmacy Patient behavior. Investigate methodologies for automation, process standardization and improvement to boost productivity and reliability. Provide statistical modeling and BI solutions to analyze pharmacy patient behavior data. The position’s purpose is to enhance productivity of analyses that are standard, and develop new ground toward new methods. Database diagnostics and problem solving skills are essential.


Responsibilities:

  • Statistical programming of ongoing Ateb Patient Messaging campaigns and diagnosis.
  • Lead task team to assemble requirements for datamart and report rendering.
  • Coordination of requirements for programming/testing/versioning.
  • Coach, advise other team members on methods, code, data analysis, data QC.
  • Productivity of the SAS Server, database programming using SAS, statistical modeling and reporting of results
  • Maintaining reporting results and scheduling projects within functional analytics
  • Team within analytics to support maintenance of SAS environment EG projects, standardize SAS for reporting
  • Data management areas to include Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) activities including data cleansing, QC, data analysis of several types

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience with SAS ODS, MACRO, SAS SQL, BASW SAS, ETL, Linux
  • Experience and ability to program with with R
  • Ability to create/code high quality SAS and Excel-based tables and graphs
  • Experience creating effective Excel-based reports and linking SAS outputs to Excel
  • Ability to perform advanced SQL programing in Postgres or other database environment
  • Data analysis experience using transactions/claims/pharmaceutical data

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or equivalent quantitative field. 
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience programming with SAS
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience with data analytics & reporting

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree candidates are preferred.
  • SAS software Advanced Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Using R and tableau.
  • Experience with ROI calculation.
  • Experience supporting executive level decision making using data driven methodology.
  • Unix or SAS administration skills.
