Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Omnicell, Inc as a dynamic opportunity open for a 3rd shift Production Supervisor to join our Manufacturing Team at our St. Petersburg, FL location. The Production Supervisor will oversee all manufacturing operations on 3rd shift and will be responsible for performing planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes and resources;  leading production staff to ensure high Quality, low cost and On-time delivery to our valued customers; and driving Continuous Improvement activities to enhance Safety and production efficiency.  


  • Oversees all manufacturing operations for 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday from 10pm to 6am.
  • Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
  • Responsible for equipment efficiencies, order throughput and customer fulfillment.
  • Responsible for employee safety program execution on the shift
  • Ensure products meet or exceeds Quality standards.  Sign off and approve jobs on the Quality Control Sheets.
  • Monitor and post all production goals.
  • Monitor and approve employee’s time in ADP.
  • Schedule personnel for OT as needed.
  • Complete daily shift report.
  • Schedule/print plates.
  • Manage department performance objectives.
  • Ensuring a management operating system is fully utilized in the manufacture of all products in production.
  • Ensure proper and timely recruitment and training of personnel required to meet departmental goals and expectations.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of machine, design and utilization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Control Systems.
  • In-depth working knowledge with an ERP system
  • Microsoft Office skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for creating reports and professional correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively interface and communicate with multiple constituents, including management, sales, customers, vendors and direct reports.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in production supervisor/leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisor training/flexographic printing background strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a Press Operator/Master Pressman.
  • Experience with quality processes such as Six Sigma, Lean, or any other recognized industry methodology relevant to ensuring operational excellence in Manufacturing Operations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Speak clearly and listen (hearing).
  • Stand, sit, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Move rolls of Plastic/Board/Foil/Liner/Label Stock – 400 pounds – 1000 pounds (rolling material on their diameter).
  • Move skids weighing up to 2,500 pounds with the use of mechanical and or powered rolling stock. (pallet jacks)  

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to work 3rd shift hours, Sunday through Thursday from 10 pm to 6 am, must be flexible with hours and overtime requirements.
  • Work is performed in both an office and production manufacturing setting.
