Software Quality Assurance Engineer II

Join our team as a Software Quality Engineer who owns quality assurance for our next-gen GUI’s. As Software Quality Engineer you will be involved in testing multiple combinations of the product across a wide variety of software encompassing different application servers, databases, and across a wide variety of hardware platforms. This team member will develop clear and concise test cases, file detailed software defect descriptions, and strive to regression test software defects quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and Execution of manual and automated test suites across a wide variety of software encompassing different application servers, databases, and across a wide variety of hardware platforms
  • Test planning and test case design
  • Defect tracking systems, familiarity with TFS preferred
  • Contribute production quality code to scale-able graphical user interface framework
  • Run performance and integration testing
  • Lead efforts on defect tracking systems and run performance and integration testing

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server
  • GIT source control
  • Integrated Development Environment including Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows
  • Production level use of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Angular.js, and Typescript
  • Working knowledge of C# programming language
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in a Computer Science field of study OR a High School diploma/GED with at least 4 years’ demonstrable software quality assurance experience
  • Experience with simultaneous software quality engineering for 2 or more products at a time

Preferred Qualification

  • M.S. degree OR a High School diploma/GED with at least 6 years’ demonstrable software quality assurance experience
  • Expert knowledge in testing tools including Ranorex Studio and Microsoft Test Manager
  • Ability Write presentation layer code for responsive Web applications in Angular 2 or higher
  • Ability to switch coding environments from WPF, to C#, to Angular on an ad hoc basis
