Test Engineer


Test Engineer

Test Engineer designs laboratory tests according to standard procedures, records and analyzes verification and validation result, also applying statistical method.

Essential Functions:

  • Constantly update working knowledge of several IV Solutions products
  • Design complex test routines, test scenarios and test case following standards and regulations for IV Solution products
  • Analyse test requirements and ensures proper test coverage exists based on requirements and design specifications
  • Identifies and manages the critical path of testing overseeing test execution
  • Analyse retrieved data and prepare reports applying a statistical method
  • Reports test results to engineering and management where appropriate
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Work with the development team to identify and capture test cases, and ensure version management
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control
  • Participate in the ongoing development of Laboratory Quality Systems
  • Help to define, improve and implement quality assurance best practices
  • Follow methodologies in carrying routine tasks
  • Maintain quality results by running standards and controls
  • Maintains status of test and monitors activities of team members
  • Ensure that all health/safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of process and product
  • May provide guidance and training to enable other team members to meet/exceed expectations

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Three years of experience in a testing environment and quality assurance with a strong knowledge of test methodologies and software release cycles
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality
  • Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment
  • Accuracy and close attention to detail
  • Strong analytical judgement
  • Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals and realize the value
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BS/MS degree in Physics, Engineering or a related subject

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working experience with FDA regulated, ISO13485, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with Ranorex.
  • Experience in C/C# programming.

  • Up to 25% travel may be required to customer sites and corporate locations
