Description and Responsibilities : 

We are seeking talented engineers with experience in cyber security engineering. The candidate will support projects to enhance and optimize the current security systems across multiple datacenters. This is a engineer position that requires someone with good hands-on experience managing a large and complex IT environment. This will be a fast-paced environment that will require in-depth knowledge and technical expertise meet our customer's deadlines.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as an information security advisor to drive new initiatives and cyber security technology adoption
  • Strong team partnering skills; excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Liaison between the government client, the contractor and the DAA on all matters relating to information security
  • Assist with recommendations for mitigation or remediation planning for various systems
  • Independently identifies cyber security projects that need to be done and effectively prioritizes time to complete multiple assignments
  • Participates actively in contributing to the team and works with customers to develop and evaluate solutions by analyzing needs and impact
  • Define System Security Requirements; designing System Security Architecture; developing detailed Security Designs (including system security certifications and project evaluations)
  • Apply principles and technology including access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, public key infrastructure, network, and enterprise security architecture

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering or related discipline plus 4 additional years of experience in datacenter virtualization. Experience can be substituted for a degree. 
  • DoD 8570 Baseline Security Certification for an IAT level 2
  • Direct experience integrating information assurance disciplines into the system design, development, integration, and implementation
  • Experience developing security plans for employing enterprise-wide security architecture
  • Experience assessing and auditing network penetration testing antivirus planning assistance, risk analysis and incident response
  • Experience applying security risk assessment methodology to system development, including threat model development, vulnerability assessments, and resulting security risk analysis
  • Experience in the implementation of cross domain solutions e.g. an information assurance solution that provides the ability to manually and/or automatically access and/or transfer between two or more differing security domains

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) process, the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
  • Seven (7) years’ experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required
  • Strong team partnering skills; excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Must be able to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts; expected to contribute to the development of new principles and concepts
