SUMMARY

The Corporate Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for the organization, tracking and logistics of the department. Blending ad hoc training requests with ongoing training initiatives. This role is hands on with the setup of local, long distance and virtual training sessions with specific emphasis on communicating with attendees, trainers and vendors.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates with training attendees, sending out pre session information, directions and answering questions.

  • Supports class learning setup across the enterprise, working with specific internal learning centers and external vendors when necessary. Specifically through scheduling, invitations, equipment, supplies, surveys, etc. for various training classes.

  • Maintains central training calendar.

  • Tracks new hires, promotions, role changes and coordinates appropriate training curriculum. Reschedules employees as appropriate.

  • Serves as a corporate technical resource for a variety of training technology resources including but not limited to performance management, learning curriculum (LMS), surveys, etc.  

  • Maintains the office learning center, including scheduling, supplies, & cleanliness.

  • Responsible for accurate tracking and reporting of scheduling, attendance, tuition reimbursement, training requests, etc.  

  • Create & track check requests from request to delivery and track department expenses.

  • Creates quarterly newsletter

  • Maintains up to date education materials.

  • Supports creation of training & development materials. (e.g. manuals, job aids, presentations, etc.)

  • Assists HR department team call from agenda to note taking.  

  • File maintenance of training records electronic and hard copy

  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related degree.

  • 2 years minimum experience supporting training or organizational development function or related. Internship experience welcome.

    SOFTWARE OR PROGRAMS

  • MS Office Experience

    • Word – formatting, mail merge and intermediate level functions  

    • Excel – entry and pivot tables.  

    • PowerPoint –creating professional presentations to be used in training sessions across a wide audience base and varied topics.  

    • Publisher –newsletters, flyers, etc.  

    • Outlook – Email, calendars, tasks and shared resources  

  • HRIS exposure 

  • Shared file knowledge 

  • Learning and performance management software experience a plus
