SUMMARY

The Sr. Project Scheduler will be responsible for the development and implementation of Scheduling Programs for the project and branch office(s).

 

 

Required Skills

  • 10-years scheduling experience with 5-years in direct support of an active construction project.

  • Demonstrated experience scheduling the design and construction of large-scale, complex projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort. Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program and the ability to communicate progress to both technical- and management-level personnel.
  • Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.

  • Have demonstrated leadership abilities to coordinate with the team (segment managers, construction manager, project engineers and superintendents) to develop a large multidisciplinary schedule.

  • Expert level knowledge of Primavera P6 and Excel.

  • Being able to analyzed quantity takeoffs and crews productivities.

  • Proficient - outstanding written and verbal skills including the ability to clearly and accurately communicate with any audience.

  • Understand project logistics and project schedule.

  • Review and understand all bid documents related to schedule and project controls.

  • Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.

  • Experience with developing and producing various types of reports, targeting different audiences, i.e. critical path reports, resource histograms, past and project production needs, etc.

  • Serve as company interface between Owner - Architect/Engineer -DUSA Team and is responsible for developing leadership, motivation, and communication with owners, subcontractors and project team and is accountable for their actions.

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with departmental schedulers to produce a weekly 5-week look ahead schedule, using P6, Excel or Microsoft Project.

  • Work with project management team to develop, maintain and analyze weekly production tracking system.

  • Meet with Vendors, Client/Authority, and Engineers.

  • Prepare detailed plans and time scaled charts and diagrams
  • Monitor project progress against an established baseline.
  • Provide impact analysis of schedule changes, identify schedule variances and opportunities and proactively develop mitigation strategies for the Project Management team. Develop what if scenarios schedules in accordance with construction means and methods.

  • Maintain simplified logic schedules to highlight status of key interfaces for critical path review.
  • Review design and/or construction schedules and provide written comments.
  • Coordinate schedule comments and corrections with the Joint Venture operations teams.
  • Advise senior management of schedule performance issues.
  • Provide progress reporting documents and briefing materials as required. Develop creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress assessments Responsible for promptly reporting schedule slippage or other variances.
  • Possesses master schedule system and project interface and integration understanding and appreciation for time frames necessary.

Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment.
