Senior Acquisition Analyst - (ATA)

Job Responsibilities: Leads a DON acquisition program providing acquisition analysis support to the NAVSEA Expeditionary Program Office. Guides an acquisition/programmatic-focused IPT. Develops technical documentation in support of multiple acquisition programs, reviews/integrates work produced by others.  


Essential Functions:

  • Expert with DoD acquisition programs (particularly with new start programs)

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Self-starter; works effectively and productively without supervision

  • Extensive knowledge of DoD 5000 series acquisition requirements

  • Experience developing acquisition strategies, including contracting

  • Knowledge of DoD contracting options/approaches

  • Capable of producing professional work products using MS Office suite

  • Guide conceptualization and production of comprehensive technical materials, such as studies and acquisition documents related to systems supporting USN expeditionary forces.

  • Strong writing, briefing and organizational skills


    Nonessential Functions:

  • Ability to conduct periodic local travel (within 50 miles)

  • Occasional travel may be required in CONUS


Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or commensurate DoD acquisition credentials.  MS/MA in management or related discipline a plus
  • Experience developing acquisition documents for DoD programs
  • 10-15 years in positions of increasing responsibility related to DoD acquisition culminating in team or project leadership
