Travelzoo Canada is seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead the sales team, identify new opportunities and strategically grow revenue. This position works collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including publishing and production, to deliver the deals Travelzoo members love. The Head of Sales is a seasoned leader within the online deal and/or travel industry and possess a proven track record of exceeding personal and team goals.


  • Manage, lead and develop Travelzoo Canada’s sales team
  • Spend time in the market with the sales team meeting clients, pitching, networking, identifying new opportunities and closing deals
  • Prepare proposals and presentations for existing and new accounts
  • Ensure sales team is supported and inspired to achieve revenue targets
  • Create a KPI-driven, motivated sales culture while retaining the content quality and diversity that engages Travelzoo members across all platforms
  • Identify new strategic clients and implement an effective sales strategy to build a growing client base
  • Demonstrate an expert understanding of the competitor landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate Travelzoo
  • Work with the production and publishing teams to ensure continued focus on winning content, efficient pitch-to-publish process and maximize revenue per deal
  • Utilize Salesforce and reporting systems to monitor performance and drive results-oriented behavior
  • Build strong interdepartmental relationships to maximize opportunities, ensure efficiency and positively impact office culture


  • 10+ years of management experience with a proven ability to lead and grow a sales team in the online deal, travel and/or lifestyle publishing industries
  • Post-Secondary Degree required
  • Fluency in French a plus
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding personal and team sales goals
  • Ability to clearly communicate Travelzoo’s value proposition, products and competitive advantage to clients
  • Commitment to achieving business goals while keeping content quality top of mind with a “members first” mentality
  • A high-performance focus, strong work ethic and sound judgement
  • An open, friendly, straightforward style that shuns corporate politics
  • Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Gravitas, attention to detail, effective problem-solving and networking skills
  • Ability to travel on company business, attend client functions and professionally represent Travelzoo
