POSITION SUMMARY:

Employee will perform varied manual labor work at Central Wisconsin Airport.  Employee will usually work 40 hours per week.  

The start date will follow the end of the school year in late May and June.  Position will end in August up to mid-October depending upon availability of the seasonal employee and the needs of the department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age or older.  Possession of a driver's license and a driving record that meets County standards.  Experience performing facility cleaning and grounds maintenance work desirable.  Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.  Ability to perform varied maintenance tasks.  Ability to keep daily work logs, vehicle maintenance requests, etc..

 

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

Operates mowers and compact tractor with loader. 

Performs other grounds keeping tasks to ensure building grounds are well maintained. 

Performs a variety of manual work including cleaning facilities and grounds, painting, landscaping, etc.

May assist full-time employees in repair and maintenance work.

Uses cleaning agents and other chemicals in performing tasks.

Performs other related work as required.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Skill in the use of motorized mowing equipment.

Skill in operating vehicles and equipment effectively, safely, and efficiently.

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance activities.

Ability to communicate effectively other employees and the public served.

Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

Ability to follow safety rules.

Ability to contribute to a positive work culture that fosters excellent customer service and teamwork.

 

COMPENSATION:

$14.00/hour - 1st year; $14.50/hour - 2nd year, $15.00/hour - 3rd year or more
