This position is non airfield and responsible for performing routine customer service, custodial, and parking functions work of facilities and grounds at Central Wisconsin Airport, Mosinee, on weekend shifts.  They also help ensure regulatory compliance of portion of the Airport Security Plan.  Openings that become available over the next several months may also be filled from this recruitment list.

HOURS OF WORK: Employees hired for these positions will work the following ten hour shifts on a rotational basis usually every other weekend plus additional fill-in hours primarily on weekends as needed.  Hours of work may change based on the needs of the airport.

Saturday, Sunday: 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday: 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.



High school graduation or equivalent; basic computer skills; positive attitude.  Must pass a fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and a TSA Security Threat Assessment.  Ability to lift up to 65 pounds occasionally.


  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets County standards.

  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 12 months of hire.

  • Incident Command System (ICS) training, level ICS-200 or above, within 12 months of hire.



  • Provides exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.

  • Supports the integrity of the airport parking system; processes payments, replaces consumables, responds to customers, issues parking violations, and reports system failures.

  • Performs airport custodial services, including cleaning floors, windows, and restrooms; emptying wastebaskets, and ensuring the clean appearance of the passenger terminal building.

  • Conducts security inspections and patrols as specified in the Airport Security Plan, Security Directives, and airport security protocols.

  • Conducts no-movement area snow removal; operates snow blowers, powered brooms, plow trucks, and shovels to effectively and safely remove snow and ice.

  • Performs light plumbing work, including repairing leaking fixtures, repairing toilets, unclog drains.

  • Performs light electrical and HVAC work, including trouble shooting, changing bulbs, and filters.

  • Performs landside mowing; operates riding mowers, push mowers, and various trimmers.

  • Utilizes provided airport communication mediums, including work order system, email, and radio.

  • Works effectively as part of a productive and supportive team.  Participates in airport team building exercises, including Marathon County culture initiatives. 

  • Develops solutions to work issues that add value for our customers.

  • Performs related work as required.



  •  Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, airport tenants, and the public.

  •  Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.

  •  Knowledge of proper safety precautions to be taken when using vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and other custodial equipment.

  •  Ability to perform routine operations without close supervision.

  •  Ability to recognize equipment in need of maintenance.

  •  Skill in basic maintenance practices.

  •  Knowledge of the proper safe use of hand tools.

  •  Ability to follow oral and written instructions. 

  •  Ability to perform moderately heavy manual work.

  •  Ability to recognize equipment and facilities in need of repair.

  •  Ability to operate automotive equipment used in snow removal.

  •  Skill in basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical work.

  •  Understands the County's and department's mission, core values, plans, and priorities for the future.

  •  Participates in establishing professional development goals that are supportive of broader County goals.

  •  Ability to contribute to a positive work culture that fosters excellent customer service and teamwork.



Pay Range:  Starting:  $14.98   Midpoint:  $17.23   Maximum:  $19.47  (Pay Level A13)



The selection of the successful candidate may be by assessment of education and background, oral interview, criminal background check, and/or other job-related selection procedures.  Selected candidate will be required to pass a post offer physical and back exam and drug test.
